ELITFRUCT – 5700 Tonnes

Ecolux Ltd. has completed the installation works for the biggest and most modern refrigerated cold storage warehouse in the Republic of Moldova. The industrial refrigeration equipment is pumped with MPG liquid and it can provide the ideal cold environment for a total storage capacity of 5700 tonnes of fruits.

The industrial equipment is manly composed of: 2 industrial racks, each with 2 pieces of screw-type Bitzer (Germany) compressors. Moreover, the industrial coolers from Kelvion (Holland) with a stainless steel case – are designed specifically for the storage of fruits and vegetables.

Product loss (in weight) is caused by the dehydration of the stored products due to the low humidity conditions inside cold storage rooms. In order to avoid such issues, this industrial equipment offers defrost using the recirculation of hot glycol in the refrigerated circuit. Glycol systems have a faster temperature pull downtime, increased temperature holding times, and improved recovery times after defrost. It also results in increased product shelf life, reduced waste, and fresher products.
